WOLFENSTEIN (2009)

     After '' Return to the castle of Wolfenstein '', in 2009, Activion published '' Wolfenstein 2 '', another first person shooter and amazing game. The game is available only for the next platforms : PC ( Windows ) , PS3 and  XBox 360.

System requirements :

• 100% Microsoft Windows compatible DVD-ROM drive
• Internet Broadband connection for multiplayer

     I played it using the following system : Windows XP Service Pack 3, AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+, 2.61 Ghz, 2.00 GB of RAM.

STORY

        Well, the story takes part most of the game in a town named Isenstadt, during World War II. A town which Nazis have taken full control of, where strange things happen as the game progresses. The main principal character, B.J. Blazkowicz, which you play as, is sent to Isenstadt where the Nazis dig for some kind of magical crystals, led by a general named Victor Zetta. Unfortunately his cover is blown by an unknown informant. Then he meets up with agents from the Kreisau Circle, a resistance group dedicated to freeing Isenstadt from those bad guys.

ENEMIES

-  Veil Heavy Trooper -

As you can see in the image, on his shoulders are attached cylinders. He also has a strong armor, a powerful gun ( Particle Canon ) and when he moves he makes a stomping noise. Just shoot the cylinders, they will explode and he will die.

- Flame Trooper - 

                                                   - Scribe -

 The Scribe is a powerful enemy too, let's say. He can fire spherical energy blasts, they can generate protective barriers for the Nazis soldiers using the Veil power Shield, and they can move around instanteously using the Veil power Mire. To kill him quickly, use the Veil power.

                                              - Veil Assasin -

Veil Assasins are the fastest melee enemies in this game and they also can become invisible. 

- Elite Guard - 

The blonde guards wield retractable blades attached to their wrists as well as a wrist mounted projectile. They are fast too, but easy to kill.

POWERS

As powers, you have  '' The Veil '' which is an altered version of the normal world, with some characteristic features of the Black Sun Dimension, most notably the swirling trails of debris being sucked into the sky by the Black Sun itself. Pools of Black Sun Energy (also called Veil Energy) are visible in this dimension, as are creatures called Geists which harvest this energy.

The power of the Veil is controlled using special Nachtsonne Crystals which only grow in the area around Isenstadt. Under General Viktor Zetta, the Nazis have instigated an extensive research and development project to find uses for the energy of the Veil, with human research carried out at the local hospital, a massive operation to artificially produce Nachtsonne Crystals in a facility located in a cavern under an occupied farm, and a giant research and production facility occupying an old cannery within the city. The latter facility produces barrels containing a glowing blue substance referred to as Veil Condensate, which is used to generate shields and power weapon systems such as the Leichenfaust 44, the Particle cannon and the Keiler tank.

The Nazis also have the ability to create Veil Doors, surfaces made of a special form of matter which is solid in the normal world but can be passed through in the Veil. These doors are distinguished by a black sun symbol, and usually provide access to important or hidden areas. Later in the game they start deploying Veil Inhibitors, portable field generators fitted with a mushroom-like emitter which nullify the power of the Thule Medallion within a fixed radius. These are usually used to protect critical locations by preventing travel through Veil Doors.

However, after B.J destroyed the Thule device in the Black Sun dimension, the Veil is no longer accessible.

The Thule Medallion is a device created by the Thule race to harness the power of the Veil. Powered by Nachtsonne Crystals, it can generate powerful effects by warping space, enabling the bearer to move faster, see normally invisible things and even pass through apparently solid matter. What I think about this game

•        At first, I liked almost everything. But, when I wanted to save the game, I had the surprise that I can't ! The game saves by it self, only on CHECKPOINTS. The game can be played on 4 different difficulty levels :    

                                                   - '' Daddy, can I play? '' - this is the easiest

                                                   - '' Don't hurt me ''

                                                   - '' Bring them on ! '' - normal

                                                   - '' I am death incarnate ! '' -  the hardest one

• I like the fact that you have a Veil, which is a barrier between the Black Sun Dimension and the "normal" dimension inhabited by humans. 
• The Veil can generate powerful effects by warping space, enabling the bearer to move faster, see normally invisible things and even pass through apparently solid matter. ( Wikipedia ) 
• Very good graphics
• You have the option to upgrade your weapons and the Veil stone ( to do this, you need to collect money which can be found in hidden places, so be patient and look for them during the game )
• After you finish the game, you can use Cheat Codes
• Regenerating health
• The story is not so special, but its easy to follow along with until the end
